With the never-ending snow we’ve been having I’m extra anxious for spring to officially arrive.
In the meantime, while it’s cold out there (in the 30s tomorrow!) I’ve been trying to make our home feel like spring inside by filling the house with fresh flowers (here’s a tip: Safeway has the best roses – they are inexpensive and they last for at least 10 days) and uplifting scents.
While I love the smell of vanilla in the fall and winter, citrus is my choice for spring and summer. In case you are looking to boost your mood with a new scent I highly recommend Atelier Orange Sanguine Cologne. With just one spritz I feel more refreshed. In fact, it reminds me of being on vacation in Italy.
For home fragrance, I love Henri Bendel’s Lemon Verbena candles. Guests love the smell, and say that it helps them to relax. It also comes as a diffuser.
Finally, it doesn’t hurt to throw on a cotton scarf with a pop of color to perk up your mood. DVF always has a great collection, and I have my eye on a few of them right now.
